Remote monitoring

A key element of delivering a managed service is technology allowing an IT service provider’s engineers to remotely and securely monitor, maintain, and manage desktops, servers, network devices and applications at their end-customers’ locations over the Internet. Furthermore, the chosen technology should have the follow qualities:

1. It should be easy to provision and install.
2. It should not require a VPN to the customer site or any firewall/NAT reconfiguration.
3. It must be an integrated offering eliminating the service provider’s need to “cobble together” a full solution.

Synergy uses a hosted remote management platform which meets the criteria of a mature managed services and remote management delivery platform. Setting up customers is as easy as filling out a web form and installing agents on unmanaged desktops and servers. A service provider does not have to purchase hardware to host SAAZ, track license usage, or manage the software. The IT service provider’s engineers can use SAAZ to manage desktops, servers, SNMP network devices and applications from a single web portal and remote administration console. All components operate outbound over port 443 utilizing 128-bit encrypted connections. Synergy\\\'s products does not require firewall or NAT reconfiguration or any in-bound access.

Synergy\\\'s MSP product features include monitoring for availability, performance, capacity, and security with an advanced escalation and an alerting system to proactively notify partners in case an element in their customer’s network develops a problem. Secondly, the product stores the data gathered from monitoring for generating trend analysis reports, analytical reports, and summary reports. Such reports are very useful for planning and predictive analysis which in turn can drive projects and additional revenues. The MSP Product works on a remote monitoring architecture and supports a variety of protocols such as SNMP, WMI, Event Log Monitoring, SSH/Telnet, PerfMon, etc…
